Public Classes

Centred Self Yoga has been providing community classes throughout Sydney since 2002.

Our general classes encompass building strength and stability, increasing flexibility, developing concentration and heightened self-awareness – and achieving physical and mental relaxation.

There is always a focus on exploration of the breath, the relationship between the body/mind - and the intention to have you leave the class feeling centred and peaceful.

We honour that within a group each individual is unique with varied abilities and aim to accommodate for this by offering suitable variations and encouraging you to work within your own capacity and develop at your own individual pace.

Our classes are relaxed and friendly within a supportive and non-competitive environment. All are welcome.

RANDWICK

Yoga for Beginners - Level 2

• Build confidence in your practice of Yoga postures
• Learn to practice safely and effectively
• Improve your strength and flexibility
• Experience physical and mental relaxation

This is an 8 week developmental course, cementing the basics of Yoga and progressively building on those foundations at a gradual pace.

Ideally, will suit those who have had some kind of prior experience with Yoga at a beginners level or just wanting to ease back into Yoga after a long absence from attending classes.

Small classes (maximum 10 participants) with high level of instruction, in a supportive and non-competitive environment. All equipment supplied.

Yoga with Meditation - for Relaxation

Over the course of 8 weeks you will experience and learn to:

• Release physical tension from the body
• Calm the mind
• Improve your ability to focus and concentrate
• Reduce the effects of stress on mind & body
• Build inner reserves to better manage stressful situations

Each class will consist of simple movement (asanas), breathing (pranayama) and relaxation to prepare the body and mind for the meditative practice of sitting in stillness.

Informal and relaxed environment. Beginners welcome. All equipment supplied.

Start Your Own Yoga Group

• Interested in practicing Yoga within a group but can’t make it our classes?
• Do you have 3 or more friends or colleagues who are also keen to begin Yoga but not sure where to go?

You may want to consider getting together your own group at home, the office or any other suitable space of your convenience and we can come to you!

We can tailor classes to suit your group’s needs and desired focus – for example Beginners, Strength & Flexibility, Stress Management or Back Care etc
